Appearance
3/8"-9/16" long.
Yellow-brown in colour.
Both sexes have wings but those of the male are longer.
Runs (may fly at very high temperatures).
Lifecycle
Females deposit the ootheca (egg case) containing 16 eggs a day after production.
Oothecae are cemented down and widely scattered.
Hatch in 1 – 2 months.
Nymphs take 2 – 4 months to develop into adults.
Habits
Heated buildings; very wide dispersal throughout.
Nocturnal.
Omnivorous.
