Flattened body with many segments.
Each body segment has one pair of legs — 15–90 pairs of legs in total.
Lifecycle
Eggs laid in batches and tended by the female until ready to hatch.
Habits
Fast moving & predatory.
Occasionally crawl into concealed locations indoors.
Favours moist locations. Prone to water loss as they have no waxy cuticle.
Usually found outdoors but may crawl indoors for safety.
Tropical species can be highly venomous.
