White-shouldered House Moth

Appearance

•   Adult - 6 to 10mm long, head and thorax are brilliant white, forewings are mottled.
•   Larva - up to 12 mm long. Ivory white with a red-brown head.
•   Pupa - in a silk cocoon.


Lifecycle

•  Normally one generation per year.


Habits

•  Often found in unheated outdoor buildings. Generally regarded as a scavenger.
