How does Termite Monitoring & Baiting work?

A Rentokil Termite Technician will install in-ground stations around the building at points near where termites are likely to be foraging for food. The stations contain a non-toxic food termites prefer to eat. These stations can be installed in the ground, in concrete or inside the home if the termites have made their way into your home.

The bait that is inside the stations is highly palatable to termites and non-toxic to pets and children. The termites feed on the bait and take it back to the colony. The colony is eliminated.

Once the colony is eliminated any remaining bait is removed and fresh timber is placed in the in-ground stations, the above ground stations are removed and monitoring continues. Monitoring is important as your property is susceptible to future attack from new termite colonies or other established colonies. To relieve this constant threat the termite system works on an ongoing process of monitoring and baiting to help control termite and prevent damage on your property.
